Matt Buckner

Director, Engineering
Biography
Matt first discovered an interest in architecture and building design when he lived overseas. Most weekends his family would travel and visit chateaus and other well-known structures. As the family relocated to the United States, Matt began working in the family business as a contractor. This provided him a basic understanding of construction and design principles. As a senior at Tennessee Technological University, Matt worked with Kiewit Southern during the rehabilitation of Interstate 75 through Atlanta. After graduation, Matt accepted a position with Cornerstone Engineering where he sharpened his structural design skills. Under the guidance of several Professional Engineers, Matt was also able to become a Professional Engineer. At Cornerstone Engineering, Matt designed structures, such as schools, city buildings, and large dwellings. For the past 10 years, Matt has been working as a consulting forensic engineer for insurance companies, attorneys, private companies, and individuals. Matt has assisted in the resolution of countless disputes and provided his clients with guidance throughout the investigative process. He is licensed in eighteen states and ready to assist.
