Biography
Lexie Coon started her career in insurance in 2005, working 350 residential catastrophe claims in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, after the devastation of Hurricane Wilma. She continued to write claims throughout her collegiate years, assisting traveling independent insurance adjusters. As Director of Business Development, she built relationships with current client carriers and new accounts and recruited and vetted top adjusters to fill specific client carrier needs. She has written several government RFPs and assisted in winning the 2016 Batton Rouge, Louisiana Flood rebuild award. She’s deployed teams of 200 + adjusters and set up local support camps for adjusters for Hurricane Matthew, Hurricane Irma, and Hurricane Harvey. She has spent the last five years focusing on construction, working with residential and commercial claimants in the rebuilding/ restoration of their properties. Her lead estimator and project coordinator role involved coordinating mitigation companies, inspections, supplements, mortgage release of funds, and leading the client through the claims process. In 2021, she was recruited as a desk adjuster trainer for State Farm External Service Providers. Once her deployment was complete she took the opportunity to work with a prestigious law firm in Fort Worth as a Large Loss Expert, reviewing and assisting cases over $20 mil. She’s State Farm certified, California Fair Claim Practices certified, and California Earthquake authority certified, Xactimate certified and she is currently working toward her HAAG commercial roof certification.
