Biography

Larry Schmieder joined the insurance industry with State Farm in 1993 as an estimator after working in the construction field. During his time with State Farm, he succeeded through several levels, attended the State Farm Claim School, and finished as a Large Loss Adjuster. In 2001 he left State Farm and moved into a position with an independent adjusting firm based in New Jersey. Schmieder handled claims for multiple insurers which provided an invaluable learning experience. Additionally, he worked many east coast catastrophes including Superstorm Sandy and achieved the title of Complex Loss Specialist before leaving in 2016 to start his own consulting firm.

Larry joined YA Group in the Fall of 2020 and is an integral member of the Mid-Atlantic Region.
