Biography

Before joining Young and Associates, Craig Ellis served as the Chief Administration Officer for the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers (HACFM), overseeing the Information Technology, Contracts and Procurement Divisions and the Housing Choice Voucher Program. In this capacity, he assured that both internal and external stakeholders had the service, support, and safest environment to create and preserve opportunities for affordable housing and economic development and revitalize underserved communities in the City of Fort Myers.

Prior to joining HACFM, Mr. Ellis was a Director of Compliance and Development Executive for the Atlanta Housing Authority. He initiated, coordinated, and implemented major community and economic development plans and comprehensive neighborhood revitalization efforts for a portfolio of real estate assets and projects. While serving in the capacity of Director of Compliance, he developed a compliance monitoring strategy for issues of high importance. He assisted in compliance and performance monitoring, program audits, and quality assurance reviews for real estate projects. Prior to the Atlanta Housing Authority, Mr. Ellis was the Director of Compliance for Seltzer Management Group and oversaw three regional offices and all compliance monitoring staff.

Mr. Ellis also has a background in catastrophe response working with SouthernCat and was certified in Applied Structural Drying, Fire Smoke RT, and water damage restoration.
