Christopher (Kit) Hayworth

Biography

Kit joined YA Group in 2024. Originally from Missoula, MT, he holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Montana. In 2000, he relocated to Austin, TX, to earn a Ph.D. in Neuroscience. Following postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania, Kit joined the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine in Spokane, WA, as an assistant professor.

With 25 years of experience, Kit specializes in developing optical devices that utilize coherent and non-coherent energy sources. His work has secured R-level grant funding and resulted in numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications. Kit has a proven track record of managing and leading teams on major projects, overseeing all aspects from inception to completion. He is also skilled in navigating the complexities of funding through major agencies.

Kit is technically proficient in designing, synchronizing, and calibrating sophisticated sensing equipment for physiological monitoring at various scales, from individual cells to fully developed systems. During periods of business disruption, he has successfully coordinated with national funding agencies and local administrations to adjust budgets, redefine outcomes, and reallocate efforts for key personnel and facilities, ensuring the continued success of critical research initiatives.
