Biography

Brian Lawn, P.E., joined YA Group in 2021 as a Regional Consultant, bringing extensive experience in construction management. He has managed and been involved in projects ranging from $1 million to $100 million across various sectors, including heavy civil, utility infrastructure, commercial, and residential construction. Brian is a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.

At YA, Brian leverages his expertise to provide construction consulting services for a wide range of property damage claims, from small losses to large-scale incidents. His experience spans diverse property types, including healthcare facilities, sports stadiums, universities, luxury high-rise apartments, and public infrastructure. He has worked with insurance carriers covering residential policyholders, complex multi-layered insureds, builder’s risk claims, and subrogation matters. In addition to working with insurers, Brian has also provided consulting services for attorneys on litigation files.

Brian specializes in scope assessment, estimating, cost audits, schedule analysis, and change management, offering insurers critical insights into construction-related claims. He is also highly proficient in interpreting construction contracts, drawings, specifications, and engineering reports, ensuring thorough and accurate evaluations.
