Brian Gordon

Biography

Brian Gordon is a 36-year fire service veteran with extensive experience in firefighting, fire investigation, and public safety. He began as a volunteer firefighter with Palm Beach County Fire before joining Riviera Beach Fire Rescue, where he served for 24 years as a firefighter/paramedic, tactical medic, Driver Engineer, and Fire Captain.

In 2014, Brian became a Fire Investigator for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, working with the Bomb & Arson Task Group and the Sheriff’s Office Explosives Ordinance Disposal Unit. He played a key role in firefighter health and safety, leading cancer prevention efforts for fire investigators in collaboration with the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Brian is actively involved in fire investigation and safety standards through the International Association of Arson Investigators (I.A.A.I.), the National Fire Protection Association (N.F.P.A.), and the Organization of Scientific Area Committees for Forensic Science (OSAC).
