Adam Van Cleave
Senior Managing Biomechanist
Biography
Mr. Van Cleave joined YA Engineering Services through the acquisition of Bloomberg Consulting. He provides consulting services to insurance carriers, law firms, and corporate clients. His expertise includes analyzing and evaluating biomechanical systems, including voluntary and involuntary human motions, and conducting human-injury impact analysis related to motor vehicle accidents, slips, trip and falls, falling objects, and other accidental events. He performs analysis and reconstruction for low- to high-speed motor vehicle accidents, fatality accidents, pedestrian accidents, head impacts, vehicle rollovers, and other types of accidents to determine injury potential and consistency, seatbelt use, the effects of airbag interaction, and occupant positions. He performs analyses to determine at-fault liability claims. Mr. Van Cleave also has expertise in sports-related injury biomechanical analysis and experience in medical device root cause failure analysis.
