James Grey
Technician
Biography
James Grey has over 25 years of experience as an engineering technician specializing in accident reconstruction and property loss investigations. He has worked with engineering teams to investigate incidents involving vehicles, tractor-trailers, motorcycles, and pedestrians.
James is skilled at using advanced tools, such as the FARO 3D laser scanner and survey total station, to create CAD drawings, 3D models, and animations from raw data. His expertise includes site and vehicle inspections, tractor-trailer brake examinations, and data recorder analysis.
In addition to fieldwork, James has assessed subrogation potential for components and appliances and has laboratory experience in metallurgical sample preparation. He is also certified as an FAA drone pilot and HAAG residential roof inspector and documents accident scenes and weather-related damage through photography, 3D scanning, and site surveys.
James supports mechanical, industrial, civil, and electrical engineers, helping document accident sites, industrial facilities, and damaged structures. Known for his problem-solving skills and attention to detail, he is committed to learning and professional growth. He holds an Associate Degree in Engineering Graphics Technology from Midlands Technical College in Columbia, South Carolina.
