Biography
Mr. Camacho is a licensed professional engineer with over twenty years of engineering experience. His expertise includes forensic engineering evaluation and repair; full-building structural analysis, construction, and restoration; finite element modeling; pre-engineered metal building systems; and BIM integration for commercial, industrial, and residential installations. Mr. Camacho has extensive experience in various construction material types, installation and evaluation protocols, component failure, construction defects, construction plan implementation, building code interpretation, industry standards, and identification of storm-related damage. Related experience includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Roof inspection and damage evaluation for residential, commercial, and industrial roof coverings, including metal panel roofing, asphalt & composition shingle, synthetic & metal shingle, shake roofing, concrete & clay tile, roll roofing (modified bitumen), built-up roofing (BUR), single-ply membrane roofing (PVC/TPO/EPDM), and polyurethane roofing.
- Forensic evaluations of structural systems and building finishes, including foundation and framing distress caused by foundation movement and slab leaks.
- Inspection and evaluation of numerous residential and commercial structures in Houston, Texas, and surrounding cities following Hurricane Harvey in August 2017.
- Evaluation and remedial recommendations for residential and commercial structures in Sunnyvale, Garland, and Rowlett, Texas, damaged by EF-4 and EF-5 tornados in December 2015.
- Identifying and evaluating intentional mechanical roof damage on various residential and commercial structures.
- Evaluation of structural damage resulting from vehicle and tree impacts.
- Earthquake damage evaluation for residential structures and foundations subjected to fracking-related seismic activity.
- Origin and cause evaluation of water intrusion for residential and commercial buildings.
