Biography

Austin Riley is a Senior Accident Reconstructionist with over 20 years of experience. He joined YA Engineering Services in 2024 through the acquisition of Bloomberg Consulting. Specializing in motor vehicle collision investigation and reconstruction, his prior roles include Lead Traffic Fatality Investigator at Bibb County Sheriff’s Department and Macon Police Department, and Accident Reconstructionist at Crash Analysis & Reconstruction in Warner Robins, GA. Throughout his career, Austin has investigated over 1,000 traffic collisions and supervised hundreds of serious and fatal collision investigations involving commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcycles, and more. He possesses extensive experience with leading-edge technology like EDR “black box” data retrieval systems, collision scene photography, and surveying equipment.
