Biography
Steven is a civil/structural engineer with specialized expertise in the design and assessment of building systems. He has over 18 years of experience including civil and structural engineering analysis, design, field investigation, and project management. Before entering the design world, Steven worked in materials testing and seismic analysis of high-rise steel structures. Steven has designed numerous highway bridges, mid-rise structures, residential properties, and temporary structures for construction. For the last 9 years, Steven has dedicated his practice to forensic engineering and the investigation and analysis of damage and failures to existing buildings and structures. Steven has extensive expertise in commercial, industrial, agricultural, municipal, educational, and residential building damage investigations, including on-site investigations after multiple tornado events, and Hurricanes Matthew, Michael, Harvey, Irma, Laura, etc. He has performed litigation support services including testimony at depositions, arbitration hearings, and trials. He has prepared and performed numerous continuing education presentations on various topics in forensic engineering, structural engineering, and building codes.
